Wonderment Events X Studio Loz - BTS Bowls Club London.

This weekend was one of those whirlwind projects that reminded me exactly why I fell in love with this industry in the first place.

It was intense, joyful, chaotic, glitter-filled and completely magical.

I was handed the most beautiful palette of vibrant pinks and oranges, perfectly complementing the stunning costumes created by the incredibly talented Dulcie Best. My job was to take those designs and transform them into sculptural wig pieces that would not only complete the look, but survive the excitement and demands of a live event.

One of the highlights was seeing Chris Fitchew, founder of Wonderment Events, transformed into all his Bowltholomew glory.

Bowltholomew is a wonderfully joyful character, created to bring laughter, entertainment and connection to everyone attending the evening.

Fitting the wigs and watching these characters come to life in the final moments before the event was a completely new experience for me. Amidst the chaos, sequins and last-minute touches, you really see how much love and craftsmanship goes into creating these worlds. Every fitting, every accessory, every tiny detail thoughtfully matched to the original design.

There’s something incredibly special about watching performers become their characters. It felt a little bit Disney-like. I sat there with sparkling eyes, completely in awe of the energy buzzing around the room as each person transformed before me. It was amazing.

Behind the scenes, Chris was joined by his brilliant team of adjudicators and even a world champion of bowls, all helping to create an unforgettable experience for everyone attending The Bowls Club London.

Being trusted to help bring these characters to life for Wonderment Events was such a privilege. Being part of the magic of the day reminded me exactly why I chose this path.

Hard cap wigs can be fitted to a standard size and have wiring around the outer edges that can be bent if used by multiple people. You can also pad out the caps to make smaller and tighter.
